Richard Brewer, Sixth College
Richard is originally from San Francisco, CA. He is currently a Sophomore at Sixth College majoring in Human Biology and has participated in the ETS Public Speaking Seminar. His favorite part of the program was the warm environment that helped to give him the confidence and skills needed to become a more effective public speaker. Richard plans to pursue a career in optometry. In his free time, Richard enjoys surfing, camping, playing baseball, watching movies, and hanging out with friends.

Julia Chang, Sixth College
Julia is currently a Junior at Sixth College majoring in Human Biology (Pre-Med) and has participated in both the ETS Public Speaking Seminar and the ETS Interpersonal Communication Seminar. Her favorite part of the program was the great friendships she made with fellow UCSD students. Julia stays active on campus as a Sixth College Orientation Leader and as a member of Sigma Kappa. She plans to pursue a career in medicine and become a pediatrician.

Brian is a San Diego native. He is currently a Senior at Warren College majoring in Communication and has participated in both the ETS Public Speaking Seminar and the ETS Interpersonal Communication Seminar. Brian plans to pursue a career in marketing or advertising.

Laura Louie, Thurgood Marshall College
Laura is currently a Junior at Thurgood Marshall College majoring in economics and communication and has participated in the ETS Public Speaking Seminar, the ETS Interpersonal Communication Seminar, and the ETS Intermediate Communication Skills Track (now called Communicate UCSD!). Her favorite part of the program was the valuable information provided and the opportunity to practice a variety of skills, as well as the friendly and supportive environment. Laura plans to pursue a career in the personal banking field.

Sonam is currently a Sophomore at Muir College majoring in Human Biology. She participated in the ETS Yearlong Leadership Program in 2006-07. Her favorite part of the program was having the opportunity to meet new friends and gain some insightful leadership knowledge and strengthen her leadership and communication skills. Sonam plans to pursue a career in the healthcare field.

Laura Summers, Eleanor Roosevelt College
Laura is currently a Sophomore at Eleanor Roosevelt College majoring in International Studies-Linguistics and has participated in the ETS Public Speaking Seminar. She enjoyed the ETS program because it allowed her to improve her public speaking skills and conquer her fears while meeting new people in a fun environment. Laura plans to pursue a career that will allow her to travel and work in other countries.
